DESIGN MANAGER

Position Summary:
Design Manager Internship based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Assume responsibility for one or more consumer products in Packaging Graphics or Structural Design over a 3-6 month period.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

Selected candidates will begin by assuming responsibility for one or more consumer products in Packaging Graphics or Structural Package and Product design.   As a member of a cross-functional team that includes Marketing, Market Research, Technical Packaging, Legal, Product Development and appropriate higher management of our Company, you will:

  • Accept responsibility for the creative approach used. P&G Design Managers are the creative force behind the development of a design that best fits our product image

  • Lead the process of creating and ensuring quality regional designs for regional brands - from objective setting in the design brief, using existing design firms, management of budget and the evaluation and presentation of design work through to Senior Management.

  • Consult on design development in other related areas of design (different parts of the business) by working closely with other Design Managers assigned to the projects.

At the end of the placement the student will take away experience of working in a blue-chip organization and will have a collection of projects from across the different business areas for their portfolio (once released into market).

  • Present learning's and project proposal's to Design Management community in Geneva

Summary of Job Requirements:

BS or BA in Design or related field.  Must possess the following:

  • Current resume and portfolio that demonstrates design expertise.

  • Strong foundation of technical mastery in 2-D or 3-D design

  • Passion for design that sparks creativity and innovation in the design team

  • Independent thinking that demonstrates commitment for your ideas

  • Exceptional leadership skills

  • Ability to set priorities and maintain them

  • Oral communication that is clear, concise and effective across cultural
    boundaries

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Works effectively with others and able to enroll others in your ideas

Internship Requirements:
Experience Requirements:
Studying BS or BA in third/fourth year of Design or related field, with resume and portfolio that demonstrates design expertise.
