The Job
In Switzerland, our Geneva subsidiary is the European headquarters for the Global Business Units which manage our product categories. A very dynamic and international site which counts more than 1'000 people. The internship The role of Customer Business Development (CBD) in P&G is to develop new and innovative approaches to getting our products into the stores and in front of the consumer. This entails extensive cooperation with our customers backed by common strategies and objectives to ensure mutually beneficial business results and a sustained competitive advantage for our brands at the point-of-purchase. As an intern in CBD, you will have the opportunity to gain real work experience while still at University. By real, we mean involvement in the projects that the company is facing. You will join an international business team and work on projects designed to stretch your abilities such as enhancing distribution of our products, developing merchandising plans and in-store activities, improving shelf-planning and promotional support, and much much more. You will be coached by some of the most effective people in our business to ensure a successful outcome of your project. We see an internship as a period of mutual trial: a chance for you to look at us as your future employer and for us to assess you and your skills. An internship is a great way to discover the company from within, to gain an insight into the career development we offer, to meet new friends and to have a lot of fun. Who qualifies The right person for an internship with P&G is a University student ideally graduating in 2001/2. You are fluent in Enlgish. You are a self-starter with proven evidence of strong leadership, analytical and communication skills. You are result oriented and you like to work both on your own and as a team member in an international and dynamic environment. Applicants will be selected via the regular P&G recruiting process, including an application form, multiple interviews and a problem solving test. Duration We offer internships of two to three months. In exceptional circumstances internships can be longer, up to a period of 6 months.
