A very intranet
route!
Altran successfully set up the first intranet
site from scratch for one of the market leaders in the European
pharmaceutical industry. This exciting challenge consisted in
establishing the intranet�s corporate style as well as co-ordination
all the subsidiaries� intranet projects.
Successful diversification into new products
Our client, a global manufacturer of satellite systems, planned
to diversify into modems for private satellite links. At the time,
the market was anxiously awaiting sophisticated products to manage
interference-free satellite access by large numbers of users.
Altran coordinated, scheduled and tracked product design and development.
Industrial risk management
Working with a space industry major, Altran set up a method of
preliminary risk analysis for the start-up phase of two programmes
for constellations of low earth orbit satellites to provide telecommunications
and multimedia services. The overall aim was to identify and evaluate
in terms of cost all risk factors associated with each project.
Managing telecom network deployment
Altran was asked to coordinate the extension of a dedicated GSM
cellular telephone system to Europe�s entire rail network.
Lower information technology costs
Working with a telecommunications operator, Altran managed a project
to reduce the total cost of ownership of workstations and servers
running under Windows NT.
Optimizing quality
Management asked Altran to coordinate a top-to-bottom revamp of
their bank�s internal information flows and relations with clients.
Altran also defined and managed the bank�s quality certification
strategy.
