PROCTER
& GAMBLE
What do Pringles snacks, Pantene Pro-V shampoo, Ariel Laundry detergent,
Pampers diapers, Always pads, Alldays pantiliners, Tampax tampons,
Hugo Boss perfumes and Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo
have in common?
They are 9 of over 300 brands of Procter & Gamble.
Founded in 1837 in Cincinnati, Ohio, P&G is now a global, fast
growing, multi-billion dollar business, employing more than 100'000
people in about 70 countries and selling its brands to five billion
consumers world wide. Our products are known for their quality and
the continuous improvement they bring to the lives of our consumers.
This is a very exciting time to join P&G in Switzerland as the
Company's headquarters for Western Europe moved to Geneva in 1999
joining the headquarters for Middle East & Africa as well as
the General Export division based since the 50's in the city of
Calvin. Our Geneva Office is now the regional headquarters for the
five Global Business Units in which we operate : Baby Care, Beauty
Care, Fabric and Home Care, Snacks and Beverages, Health Care, Fe
m inine & Family Care. Among the 1500 people we now have in
our Geneva Office there are over 52 different nationalities, which
makes it a really fun place to work.
P&G is a company with a strong culture : our integrity, sense
of ownership and passion for winning are the characteristics that
distinguish us from other companies. At P&G we consider people
as our most important asset and therefore the development of each
individual is a priority to us. As a new hire in this dynamic context,
you will be able to contribute to your best in a challenging environment,
where your own ideas and personality are your most important assets.
Training on the job, as well as functional and corporate training
will be an important aspect throughout your career.
At P&G we view diversity as a huge asset that generates fresh
attitudes, different perspectives and exciting new ideas. Diversity
is also about understanding people's individual needs and domestic
commitments. Different circumstances require different working arrangements.
That's why we've introduced various flexible work plans that allow
you to continue on your career path while working fewer days per
week or less hours per day.
This means you can reduce your working week without reducing your
work prospects. If you're a new parent, our Family Care Leave enables
you to take a year's unpaid leave to enjoy time with your family.
All P&G people are also able to take a sabbatical of up to three
months every seven years. For our full-time positions, we are looking
for young, motivated, exceptional people with a university degree
from all different fields of study. We also offer internship positions
all year around in most of our functions. For our internship positions,
we are looking for students in their final 2 years of study.
In order to apply for a job or an internship, start by filling in
our online application form that can be found on www.pgcareers.com.
If there is a match between your profile and our needs, you will
be invited for a short mathematical-logical test, followed by a
series of interviews where a balanced combination of Leadership,
Innovation, Capacity, Collaboration, Solutions, Risk Taking and
Mastery must be demonstrated. The right combination of extracurricular
activities and academic results is very important for us. We appreciate
all kinds of activities through which you can develop your potential
: part time jobs, internships, international experiences, sports,
students associations, charity, NGO's associations, etc.
